PU Letter + work permit

shinyrayn76

Hi guys, my employer is processing my work permit for summer 2021. It said PU letter. I read about it online but can anyone give me any advise on the ease of getting  a PU letter.
Given the current pandemic, what are my chances of landing a job in Chengdu by August this year

Thanks!

The PU Letter  is something your employer has to apply to the government for on your behalf so as to grant you  permission to enter the country for work. It’s not an easy thing for them to get they have the show that you are a critical employee to the company and that they need you and get the government to approve it. There’s nothing you can do for this the ball is completely in their court.

Sorry, but I know nothing of your situation so I can’t really say what your chances are. You haven’t said anything about why you are coming to China or what your job is or how critical it might be to your company.  Not everyone comes to China for the same reason.
There’s tons of people coming as Teachers but I am a helicopter pilot. Our situations may be very very different.  I just wanted to let you know the details of the whole PU Letter thing like you asked originally.  How it plays out depends on your luck and the people who are going to process your paperwork.  If your company is actually going to apply for the PU then perhaps your chances aren’t too bad.
Good luck
