How to write an Address correctly on a letter from China to the UK.

brianboat2

I recently posted a letter from Hengyang City to the UK. The letter came back to me without ever going to the UK. I complained to the Post Office they said i had not addressed it correctly, or so i assumed, they did not speak any English and i don"t speak Chinese.
What i want to know, how do you address a letter from China to the UK. A visual example would be excellent like a photo of both sides of the envelope.
Many thanks.

I send letters around the world and when for example I send to Russia I type the address in Russian and use Google translate to type it in English too. So I have the address typed in both languages, side by side and glued or sellotaped onto the front of the envelope. They always gets delivered safely.
