Working and where to move to in China.

I'm interested in moving to China in the near future, but had a question about working there and where to move. As for working, I am not interested in teaching English and don't want to start my own business. I'd be looking for work in the IT field, which probably would offer no positions for foreign expats...so that would be a no go for me. However, the thing I'm wondering about is could I get a US company to transfer me to China like Microsoft, Nvidia, HP, etc.? I know of companies that have moved to China in the past and have offered their US employees help moving to China should they decide to stay with the company (my Dad's old workplace did this) but I am unsure if that's doable now. If so, does anyone know of any IT companies that do that often or prefer to do that or even offer that upon hire, or is there a way to find that out besides contacting customer service? As for moving, I'm conflicted on where to move. I'd like to jut say Shenzhen and call it a day...but I really like the appeal of Suzhou and really want to have a large body of water near the city, be it ocean, sea or lake. The only problem with my top choices (Suzhou, Nanjing, and Hangzhou) are that they are not top tier cities and that may be a problem for a while when I first move there. I don't want something so undiverse I'm being stared at everywhere I go, but I certainly don't want it so diverse I don't get the authentic experience. Also don't want it to be boiling hot, or have too much pollution. All of that is really making it hard to choose which is why I need advice. I really do just want to say Shenzhen and be done with it, but I feel as though it's not going to be perfect. Fuzhou was an option at one point...but there is limited information on that and the diversity is probably not great. Xiamen was also a choice but it just doesn't seem as interesting as any other city. Suzhou seems great, but again there is limited information. So, out of the following options...what would be best suited for me?: Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Xiamen. I would say my top priority is near the water, second is diversity, third is pollution, fourth is general appeal. I'd love to just take a month and visit each city for a few days...but that's not doable in my situation, so this is my only option right now. Thanks in advanced for any and all help, I really appreciate it. I have no doubt China would be far more appealing than the US ever could and ever will be to me.
