Hi Barbara, We often have BBQ's on the beach with friends, we take a BBQ, pool food and cook and eat :)

Lots of people do it, just be careful with the uneven ground, we cook and eat as soon as we arrive so that by the time we leave the coals are cold, we tip them into foil or an old tin and take home with us to dispose of.

We more than often do this on a Sunday, nice end to the weekend :)

Hi Rosie,
Thanks for the info. Am busy packing to move to Mauritius and have seen a nice little bbq

i bought in SHOPRITE a Gas burner for picnics on the beach. it is not that big and runs on Butane cartridge. Will enable cooking etc to add to the ambience without charcoal and coals.

I would bring your little BBQ Barbara, as we were surprised how expensive they are here, probably because they have to be imported.

We always used Gas in the UK, but all of our friends here use charcoal, so we have bought a charcoal one a year ago and not used it yet :(

Will have to christen it when you arrive ;)

I  will definitely  buy it and look forward to joining you at the christening!!
