I’m Salmes, a Kenyan based in Kenya, and I’m happy to be part of this community.

I’m passionate about culture, travel, documentary filmmaking, photography, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. Through my homestay, I enjoy sharing stories about local traditions, food, everyday life, and the landscapes around Mount Kenya.

I run a homestay experience on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya, where I welcome visitors who want to experience authentic Kenyan culture, rural life, and the warmth of a local family. It’s an opportunity to slow down, connect with the community, explore nature, and discover a side of Kenya beyond the usual safari destinations.
