For the class K permit, are you allowed to purchase investment property for the purpose of collecting rental income? I was told that the rental income would not be allowed because it would qualify as an 'income-producing' activity even though I would not be working or employed...? The rental income would be wholly investment income.

Anybody can own a property. But this is something I never thought of. I am buying one but I will be using it for myself. Every 6 months I come to Kenya...

do you get a reference number with the application? I am looking at mine on the Enfs website but cant see any.
