Deposit money from US into my CV account

    Ok, so i found all the information about opening a bank in Cape Verde while adroad, i have cape verdian passport, an addrress there and phone number, my Q. How can i deposit from US, Western Union is the only way? I have family there to receive the currency, but i wish was a way to deposit money into my account while leaving somewhere wlse?

Talk to your bank in America. Ask them to execute a bank wire transfer to your account in Cape Verde. You will need to provide your US bank with the IBAN and SWIFT code for your account in Cape Verde (as well as the amount you wish to transfer). These were given to you when you opened your account in CV. Also, I hope you signed up for online banking with your CV bank. This way you can check your account regularly to see when the wire transfer has arrived, as well as any other activity on your account.

Do not make a habit of sending money to your relatives as, very often, such amounts may not be deposited into your account. There are too many stories where relatives spent money that they were supposed to be used for the benefit of the imigrante.
