Thank you so much for posting

Loads of these about.
They offer you the job but you have to pay a fee for admin.

Cheers for posting; you may have reminded a few people about a common scam.

So I shouldn't have applied for "ETC"?

James

Definitely not Hailey, since that stands for Efluent Test Consumption. The employee has to hold a sewer pipe to his/her mouth and taste test what comes out...... yuck.

Don't know about you, but I get pretty tired of taking the same old _______ from everybody! LOL

I'm disgusted - thanks.

Thank-you William for posting this useful information to others out there.

There was a similar thread not too long ago where a top hotel in London was used as a scam similar to this. The guy who replied to it, posted it on the forum and after close inspection it was similar to the info you have posted.

Just to add to your useful note, there are signs on the advert that prove this is a scam straight away.  I had noticed after the address, a mobile number is listed. A company would never list a mobile number. They would put a land line and a fax number.
Again this would probably not be noticed from individuals outside of the UK but some one who knows the mobile and land line numbers/codes in the UK.

Another note on here is the salary noted. Its quite high for the posts they are offering. In addition, the holidays and sick days seem excessive too. Holidays are normally 20-25 days per year and sick days allowance is normally 5 days max .

You are quite right about email address not being from the same the domain too. That seems to be a common one used. That's what i noticed on the previous fake/scam post here on Expat.com.

There are quite a handful of job seekers out there and such warnings can prove very useful.

Thanks again for alerting the Expat.com community here. :thanks:

Jaz
