Just remember that in our saddness one of the first things we lose is our self-image and autoesteem. You have to keep in mind that you are a very special person, warm and caring, gentle and loving. You have a beautiful heart and soul. Depression is natural after a loss.

It may sound silly, but I will tell you a technique that works to build your self image. Today, write down on a sheet of paper FIVE things that you like about yourself. Tomorrow, write down five different things. The following day five more (getting harder now) and the next day five more (wow, almost impossible). Every day once you have added your new choices repeat the whole list from the beginning. Say them out loud, like you feel it in your heart. Believe it or not, in very short order you will have your autoesteem back and you will be feeling much more cheerful.
