Paying first month rent

Hi All,

I will be moving to Dublin on 1 September. My company arranged for hotel accommodation for the first 2 or 3 weeks. What I would like to know is if I move into a place on say the 20th of September, Except for my deposit of a full month, Will I pay rent for 10 days and pay full month rent on the first of Oct or will I pay a full month for Oct plus the 10 days of Sept when I move in?

There is no legal process that deals with your question, so it will depend entirely on whatever deal you can work out with your future landlord.
