Hi Everybody!
My name is Laura and I am from Victoria, BC, Canada. I have previous English teaching experience in Taipei, Taiwan. I am considering applying for a teaching job in the Emirates in 2017 when my child turns 4. His father works in Northern Canada and would most likely visit us on his turnarounds, so it would be just me and my boy most of the time.
My questions are:
what is the taxation rate for foreigners?
How do I find an excellent preschool for my child?
What is the best company to teach with?
Is there anything I should know about being essentially a single mother over there?
I would be doing this for the cultural experience for us and I would like to find out other Mothers' experiences teaching in the Emirates and any advice or pointers.
