Hi, concidering to moving to Malta.. one question ab. internet and mobilephone.. as i have read, i think the Melita is the most common to use for this.
Is there any deposits that i need to pay to get an internet and/or mobilephone (billpay) account?
How fast they connect the internet etc?

you can get a connection within a couple of days - you are likely to be asked for a deposit until you can provide an id card - then it will be refunded. be aware you may be asked to commit to a long contract!!!!

thanks, yeah, i was planning to get the id card first.. seems to be helpful when opening bank account etc.
if i understood right, it takes approx a week to arrive, so i can live without internet that time at my possible new home

for a mobile phone you will need a credit card to get a contract phone - otherwise a PAYg is easy to get with easy e-top ups
