is it difficult for expats to open a bank account in Jordan ?
Which documents are required to open a bank account in Jordan ?
How long does it take to open it ?
Is there any restriction for expats regarding the services (loans for instance) ?
Which bank would you recommend ?

just get ur passport and hit any bank in Jordan, it's a pretty easy step :p

I have been trying the past two months to open an account. I have been to two different branches of Arab bank and was told different things. They require a year contract (mine is 6 months) on an unfurnished apartment (mine is furnished), a post office box (The manager of the bank told me i would not be able to find one available.)
If anyone can tell me a bank that is willing to take my money, please let me know. It is a very odd situation: American banks can't wait to get their hands on your money.
