Thanks to the France Working Holiday Visa, young foreign students can discover the country during a whole year while having a job there. Young Hong Kong nationals can benefit from the Working Holiday Visa in France since 2013, enjoying French lifestyle while having a new professional experience.
To be eligible for the France WHV you must:
- be a Hong Kong national and live in Hong Kong when submitting your application
- be between 18 and 30 years old
- not having benefited from the France WHV yet
- not be accompanied.
Your France WHV is available for 12 months and is not renewable.
You must make an appointment online with the Consulate-General of Hong Kong.
You must provide a list of important documentation: two Long stay Visa applications duly completed and signed, your Hong-Kong passport which must be valid for 3 months from the expiry date of the visa, two passport-size photos made on a white background, one copy of your ID card, one cover letter (the original one, not a copy), a copy of your CV, a copy of your three latest bank statements, a copy of your return plane tickets or evidence of a flight booking, a one-year health insurance starting from the date of your arrival in France.
Your Working Holiday Visa will not be delivered to you more than 3 months prior to your departure.
The processing time to obtain the WHV could be from 4 to 6 weeks.
You are not allowed to start your trip less than 3 months after the date you would have received your visa.
