To obtain a CRNM on the basis of family unification ("reunião familiar") you will need to provide:

1. Online completion of the application form;
2. A current 3x4 color photograph meeting the requirements of the Polícia Federal;
3. Declaration of electronic address and residential address in Brazil;
4. Current valid passport;
5. Birth certificate or marriage certificate of applicant, showing parents' names;
6. Criminal background checks from every country where the applicant has lived during the past five years; declarations may be accepted at the discretion of the Polícia Federal;
7. Birth certificate of your Brazilian child;
8. Proof of payment of the application fees.

Other documents may be required.  The complete list, in Portuguese, appears here:

Not for permanent residency based on being the parent of  Brazilian.   Proficiency in Portuguese is only required for naturalization,  which is only available after at least one year of continuous residence after receiving a CRNM.

You can start your application here:

If you have trouble with the form, contact the "Estrangeiros" section at the Polícia Federal office nearest you.

Last question please...after I finish the application will I wait so long for the appointment from the pf as I have heard that it could take 1 month for my appointment to be settled...is this is true ?

Wait times can be very different in every city now, thanks to covid.  You can call the Polícia Federal office responsible for your area -- if you're in the city of São Paulo, I believe that's in Lapa, but you can confirm on the PF website -- and ask them what the process is for scheduling an application interview for a CRNM.  If they tell you to submit your application online and wait to be called, you should do that.  If you haven't heard from them in about a month, though, call them again to follow up.

If you're in Brazil on a family unification temporary visa, a VITEM XI, you have a year to regularize your situation, so once your application is in, you can relax some (still follow up with them, though).  However, if you're here on a tourist visa, you should not let it expire.  If you're within about two weeks of your expiration date, visit the PF in person to request an extension, and bring all of your application documents with you.
