Hi everyone,

My name is Bruno from Toronto, ON, Canada and I am looking to move to Sao Miguel, Azores, along with my wife and our 3-year-old son and I was wondering/hoping anyone can offer any kind of tips or starting point with regards to looking for a job, apartments? Is it better to be there and job search in person or is there a company I can use from here in Canada to apply for jobs.

Both myself and my wife have dual citizenship, I have dual citizenship with Canada and Italy and my wife has it with Canada and Portugal so I don't think we'd need a visa? I might be wrong not too sure.

Anyway, I was hoping for a bit of a starting point or pointed in the right direction. Please and thank you.

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS/OBRIGADO :)

Hi, Welcome.
You do not need Visas since you have dual Portuguese/European citizenship. For any further questions that you cannot find answered here, you can always send an email to one of the Portuguese Consulates in Canada:

You can also find answers to your questions using the lens in the top right corner of this screen.
