Online Schooling in Turkey

The high efficiency and affordability of online schools is attracting students and parents from  across the globe. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, more and more number of students are enrolling in online schools to complete their school education. Even in Turkey, it has also come to notice that regular schools have been unable to keep up the momentum of studies during the pandemic. In spite of paying full fees, parents are not satisfied with the way schools have accommodated studies. Parents have no hope of getting a refund or even a discount on the school fees. I am wondering why students and parents in Turkey are not opting for online schooling? When you are getting international education at such affordable prices and flexibility, then why not go for it.......Majority of people in Turkey are still unaware of the fact that schooling can also be done online. I think its time for the people of Turkey to embrace online schools. What do you guys think?

yr argument is wrong. "Majority of people in Turkey are still unaware of the fact that schooling can also be done online. I think its time for the people of Turkey to embrace online schools." is not reflecting the reality.
we are already in online schooling since 2,5 months, on all educational levels, including universities. and not only regular schools (what are regular schools by the way?), but all state and private ones as well.

By regular schools I mean physical schools. You have understood my argument in the wrong sense. Its right that schools in Turkey have been conducting online classes. But there is a big difference between those and proper online schools. And in fact you not understanding the meaning of online schools are helping to prove my point. Online schools are proper schools, but exist virtually. All learning, submissions, assessments, everything happens on their online portal. Students have a greater sense of efficiency and flexibility. So please try to understand my point. Properly accredited online schools are a more affordable way of completing high school and attain international education. Online courses are not just limited to colleges or universities. Even school education can be properly completed through online schools. The High School Diploma of an accredited online school is considered the same as that of a regular/physical school. I appreciate that you replied to my post. I think if we all discus these points we would be able to have a great exchange of information.

i dont agree. nobody has extra time and/or money for any additional online schools. why to stop current ones? it is not that much easy to accredit properly. all content and team should be approved by ministry of national education and student selection and placement center. and we have central exams for diplomas, not independent among schools. the link you shared is under review, i cant visit. i dont understand what is the difference between current system and the one you suggested.

Hi again. The system of online schooling which i am talking about, is an alternative to the traditional schooling system. Its more efficient, affordable and trust me it has the same credibility. An accredited online high school diploma has the same value as that from any other regular school. Students get the same international school education but at a much lower price. The learning resources are very advanced, available in various forms and students have 24X7 access to them. Therefore, they have the flexibility to study from any location and at any time. I have done some research and found some very reputed online schools, like Flvs, International Schooling, Connections. They have created a very impressive virtual learning environment for students across the world. Looking forward to your reply....

it is impossible to adopt all countries' education systems by those schools. it may work for pre-education, but what is the point to reach classes at 7/24? it is against nature. children should sleep at nights. and they should have classes together with similar age friends to improve socialising with facilities.
maybe applicable for university education, but it depends the acceptability of diplomas over the world. those instutitions should apply to the related ministries for acceptance first. if they are available, they will take attention of parents and pupils. it is not about people's awareness of the fact that schooling can also be done online and for the people of Turkey to embrace online schools.
could be an option for adults who are working and looking for a second diploma. but personally, as an old student and as a father, i woulnt prefer neither for myself nor for my daughter.

Hey. Sorry for the late response. I agree with your concerns as a father. And even I have studied in the same old school style as you have. As we are making progress in this world, just like all other spheres of life, even education has been affected with the growth in technology. Students have the power to get customized learning. Of course online schools function after getting all permissions from respective authorities and comply with regional educational standards. So students get a absolutely valid qualification, exactly the same as any regular fee, but the learning process becomes much more easy. They save a lot of time and that is instead spent on more productive activities and skill development. With reputed online schools, students can get an international qualification but at a much more affordable fee. I am sure you are aware of the high fee which regular international schools have. Now imagine, to get the same education at a much more lower fee and efficiency. Nowadays, employers don't bother much about the marks but actual skills and knowledge of candidates for jobs. In online schooling, as I told you, students can spare a lot more time on development of these skills. Looking forward to your reply.

might work on foreigners living in another countries. for citizens living in home country, i insist on that a physical school full of children is priceless for child development by all means.
