HI,

I am absolutely new to turkish language. I will be moving to IStanbul in August and will like to know of good places to learn real turkish.

ArvaritA

Definitely TOMER!

There are many good institutes where you can learn Turkish, but first you need to check your location. Istanbul is a massively huge city. It would be easier to suggest an institute if your location is specific.

Good luck!

Hi all,

you can use this site to teach simple Turkish. It works well. duolingo.com

Good luck!

Well tömer is the oldest but not necessarily the best. There are lots of other places. Dilmer is good for extremely intensive grammar but not for speaking or practicing. Institut français (french cultural center) is good for communicative learning. I also hear positive comments about Turquaz and Kedicats. If you specify more about your location, your motviation and priorities I can be of more help.

I will be working in Levent and I basically need all skills, mostly oral communication for a start, but the goal is to get intensive lessons in all aspects

Hi Juan,

I am available on Tuesdays and Fridays in the morning. The cost is 60 to 80. It depends on the distance. Where do you live?

rubio_juan

I will be living in Besiktas or near Taksim. those 60 to 80 area a one hour session?

I think I would have to take them before I get to work, how early could you be starting?

Zeynep B.

Will you be here on August? The earlist time I could start with you is the 11th of August. Hope that it fits to you.
About the district you leave the fee I could set it to 70 TL. It's a one hour lesson fee.

rubio_juan

Ok, no problem about the 11th, but I would like to know how early in the morning could you start, to see if it fits my work schedule.

Regards,

Juan

Hi Juan,
We could start our lessons as early as 7.30 in the morning. In general I have higher availability in the evening hours, where we can start at 20.00 as latest. I charge 75tl for 60 minutes and 100tl for 90 minutes. It will be good to meet you soon to discuss about your needs and get to know each other.

Thanks,

Reyhan
