In this Just for fun thread, we would like to highlight unconventional customs which make Ireland stand out. This is a chance, at the same time, to learn about other countries' equally interesting traditions.

1. Which country considers cats to be lucky? How about Ireland?

3. Is there anything like a 15-minute grace period in Ireland or is showing up on time or earlier a common practice?
4. In which country do people greet each other by rubbing noses?
5. What is one custom associated with Irish culture that you have found to be quite unusual?

The Irish:
We say sorry when YOU bump in to US
We love a good sing song at the end of a night
We will talk to anyone about anything, anytime (mainly about the weather or politics)
Its a myth at everyone in Ireland love Guinness, its an acquired taste
The Crack is fun not Drugs
Distance is all relative
We love a good Funeral, time to catch up on all the gossip and have a look at the corpse
Same goes for weddings (not the looking at corpse)
We are extremely nosey, all be it discretely
We are very friendly and accommodating
We have a wicked sense of Humor

And no, we are not all like 'Father Ted' (google TV programme 😂)
