My company have an opening in Yokohama and have approached me asking if I am interested in moving/living there for 2 to 5 years.
I have previously lived in Singapore and Korea but have no experince of Japan.
Status:
Married with 2 kids (5 and 2 years old)
Question:
1) What is the cost of renting house/apartment in Yokohama? Lets say 3 bedroom etc...
2) Can anyone recommand a good website where I can find/look at potential accomodation
3) Will price for accomodation increase once the landlord knows I am an expart (in singapore the cost of accomodation always went UP if an expat wanted to rent it)
4) Which area in Yokohama would be recommended to live in?
5) What international schools are there in Yokohama
6) Can one send 2 year old children to daycare center?
7) what about 5 year old (will turn 6 in 2020) will he be able to start school right away or he wll go to daycare center as well?

I can't answer all your questions, but there are a couple of international schools near Motomachi area near the Bay area: Saint Maur International School and Yokohama International School. That whole area of Yamatecho and Honmoku is very central and convenient with a lot of residential areas and lots of expats living here.
