Well my wife and I finally decided that we would like to buy a villa on Playa Coson three lines away from the beach. Does anyone have knowledge or currently renting in this area that can tell me how well the rentals are doing? We are looking at a three bedroom villa but will expand with maybe two bungalows.

Playa Coson is now emerging with the all newer development underway. The rental market in general is ok but it is very dependent on where you are and how you position your property in the market.

Travel to and from Las Terrenas can be an important issue to consider in who you market to and how you market it.

Larger groups tend to want to rent villas and as such maintenance and repair costs tend to be considerable higher.

Also as far as repeat customers, the mosquito issue close to Playa Coson is a serios issue. If not fumigated regularly, there will likely be alot of complaints about mosquitos and I have seen that affect repeat business from unsuspecting tourists.
