My Filipino boyfriend wants to work in Malta,so he can a job and savings that enable him to get a UK visitor visa-without these he apparently hasn't got a chance,even if I financially sponsor him.
Is there any way he can apply direct to employers in Malta,maybe to get a job in a care home or hotel?-I've heard it's costs £6000 to register with one of the intermediary agencies in Manila,which a )seems outrageous and b)well beyond the means of Filipinos applying for these kinds of job,with wages being so low in the philippines.
Surely there must be a less complicated and less extortionate way to do this?

I am not sure where you got that information from, but I am pretty sure it is incorrect. I have never heard of that way to get a visitor visa for the UK.
