It's the equipment that matters.
Trying to run a fridge or a washing machine on an adaptor designed for a phone charger or a computer won't work.

The general advice is to leave all large items behind and buy new when you arrive. Apart from much of what you own being likely unusable, it's likely to cost a lot in transport to find out you have serious problems.
Most adaptors available to the public can't even manage to power a TV, and the commercial ones that will do washing machines and so on are big, heavy, ugly, and will cost a fortune to transport abroad.
