I am looking to purchase a home in Puerto Rico and I was told that I needed to be pre-approved before I even start looking. Does anyone have any suggest mortgage lenders info that are to be trusted and easy to work with? I was passed on Moneyhouse PR as a lender, has anyone worked with them?

I would suggest you get pre-approved by Banco Popular, it is in the states (Florida) and in PR. Banco Popular is probably the largest lender in PR. Make sure you have plenty of financial documentation. Due to the high number of defaults, banks are a little more strict than in the mainland so be ready with plenty of documentation. BTW, you can also go FHA if you qualify.
