Work permit of Malta

There are numerous posts on here about this subject, any jobs are offered first to Maltese, then EU citizens before TCN, your employer applies for a work permit for you.

The simple requirement is a job!
It is the employer who makes the application for a work permit not you. So you need to find a job but can not take up residence here until you do, you could perhaps come on holiday and try and find work but you would not be allowed to stay longer than 3 months as a tourist (possible extension to 6 months) and then you would have to leave until the work permit came through.
