Struggling to find a doctor that is knowledgable about ‘under active thyroid' and medication whilst travelling in China. Will be in Beijing this week . Any advice would be helpful but so far the medication from Chinese healthcare is not as effective as the uk.

Are you sure that Chinese medicine is not as good as what is found in China? It sounds to me like an opinion founded upon rumor.
My experience is exactly the opposite.
Which medicines have you tried, and where did you get them? Were they Western medicines or the generic equivalents? I am quite interested in this.
