Toronto is one of the most expensive cities in Canada.

As such, it is very challenging to find "good" and "cheap" accommodations in Toronto.

What is your desired location in Toronto? Downtown, East York, North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough, etc.

Do you have a specific budget in mind?

I dont have a specific location in Toronto , anywhere is fine , and the budget i would prefer it to be less than 1000 CAD.

Thank you.

Location will be most important for pricing. Suggest you choose a neighbourhood close to your workplace as commute times can be significant in Toronto.

Finding a "good" apartment for $1,000 will be almost impossible. You may find a decent studio/bachelor unit for $1,000 but on the outskirts of Toronto.

A couple will need 1 bedroom apartment, a family of four will need 2 bedroom apartment at least. Expect to pay $1,400 for 1 bedroom and $1,800 for 2 bedroom depending on location (ie. downtown units are 50% more expensive).

Finally, there are some "grey market" basement apartments available for $1,000 but quality is uneven and rarely "good".
