Family reunification visa to Belgium

@Ade mary hope you are well enough and thanks for your cooperation for applicants. Could you please tell me how you assume Nov,22 files are proceeding avobe in other case. I mean what is their policy to assess the files based on either submission date or Immigration registration date. As I have submitted our files ( myselfe along with two kids) at 30 Nov, 2022 Immigration registered 17 Feb,23 but still showing PROCESSING in the track. Which making us anxious day by day as you can imagine for 2 kids and their mother staying distantly about 7 months. They are very sad in this moment.

I did my research with the help of this forum and my husband. After submission in November 15th 2022, They sent a mail after 3 weeks stating that my application has been sent to Belgium for processing. We called after 8 weeks and we're told Processing is 12/13 weeks. After processing,it will be uploaded on the website. We didn't see anything on the website at 13 weeks until after 15weeks. This Processing is mainly for family of a Belgian or EU citizen.I submitted complete documents on the appointment date and I got it after 16weeks. If you're documents are not complete, it might lead to refusal or they request for additional documents. While processing for Non EU takes up to 15months to be processed

My reunification timeline:

Submitted via TLS South Africa - 11 November 2022

Received in Brussels - 8 December 2022

Request for additional documents - 28 February 2023 ( Proof of lease registration myrent.be)

Accord (Approval) - 22 March 2023

Hi @Aneesh Good day and Trust you are well enough and carrying on your cooperation as always. This is helpful for any applicants. However as you know our applications submitted 30 Nov, 22 ,Registered at 17 Feb 23,From  submission to till today we have several send emails and contacted over phone mentioning our miserable scenario and requested them to process our files as early as possible . But they never replied other than a disgusting time frame for 9 to 15 months. Ridiculous.My kids are mentally broken up and my wife also depressed. It's a worst situation for us. We don't know how can we overcome the situation. Now please advice what can we do now or how to know the stage of our files are laying. All docs we submitted. Even blocked the amount for family expenses.

@khaledrasel1980 hi how arw you doing ? Is your sponsor eu or non eu , ade stated earlier if he or she is eu maximum is 3 to 6months, if non eu it is 9 to 15months

Khaled, there is no other way than to wait. Put your mind at ease, if your documentation is perfect, visa will be approved, it is just a matter of time.

@Aneesh thanks for your prompt advice. As far as I think documentary not problem. Because after submission ,Delhi Ambassy required some docs and we provided them accordingly. Then they send the files to immigration lately.However as you say have to wait. Let's see what's done.

Hi @Tachelle McCarthy  thanks for sharing the info. the time you mentioned I already know that and trust me I analysed at least 200 files tracking results. I astonished to seeing their process time, I don't understanding their base of processing or files valuation method. As I saw in some cases application submitted after us but already approved their visa. Even seen some files approved within 15 to 16 days from the submission date. Do you think in modern age some thing verifying takes a long time to  9 to 15 months. However they are always right. We must wait.

@khaledrasel1980 15-16 days for approval is only from selected countries. Unfortunately waiting is all you can do! It won't take 9-15 months that is only extreme cases. Average waiting time is 3-4 months after your file was received in Brussels. Just take the time you have with your family and friends and enjoy every moment. All the best!

Finally i can see my visa status as deal today

Timeline:

Vfs appointment: Nov 11 2022

Additional doc requested : Dec first week

Email received doc sent to Belgium : Dec 12

Status reflected in dofi (In progress): Jan 10 2023

Status changed to Deal : 24 Mar 2023

Now the passport will be courier to our registered address or we need to go and pick up in vfs office, any thought please ?

@KusumaReddy it's amazing to hear . Many Congratulations. However if you didn't choosen any courier service of VFS , they will inform you collect the passport . Means you have to collect it from their office.

Also for the dependent person who the residence permit have accepted, did you guys receive the "temporary" National register number / INSZ number immediately when you guys received the visa (like the single permit process), or did you guys obtain it after registering in the Town Hall?

I can see below update in dofi. I have not received any mail or post letter about the pending documents. Does anyone know how I will be intimated with the details of the pending documents.

Date decision / status file:    Mar 30 2023

extra info1:    The competent diplomatic/consular post will indicate which documents still need to be submitted.

extra info2:    In principle, the decision is sent on the day it is made. However, it can sometimes take several days before the diplomatic or consular post actually receives the decision.

We called Delhi office but they were angry for calling them for the updates. That's too bad. But after all the waiting and praying, I've received a mail from Infodesk about missing health insurance for my dependents. I'm surprised how can we get health insurance when they are not here yet. I've responded to them as the health insurance will be taken once they reach Belgium and after receive the RP. I'm yet to get response from them. My family is already happy that at least something is happening.

@Prakash Somasundaram actually this is already discussed in this forum quite often.. regarding the health insurance for partner who are still abroad.. its actually also written in ibz website.. you have to ask your health insurance provider to fill in some "standard form", and basically you ask them to make statement that your partner will be covered once they arrive here in Belgium.. normally, they (your health insurance provider, who will also insure your partner health) will ask some marriage certificate first before they are willing to give you the filled-in form

Anyone get their family reunification visa approved recently? last update from this thread is from someone who appiled on the mid Dcemeber 2022 (approved 3 weeks ago). My dependent applied on 10 Jan 2023. Trying to estimate which file they process these days

@Prakash Somasundaram Did you remember which date exactly in December your dependent applied from her/his home country? and which date the you get the information  from embassy of her/his home country (to submit your missing document/pick up passport)?

I would like to estimate how many days after their decision made ( in your case was, how many days after 30 March,) your embassy received the information from Brussel.

Hi @A.supertramp , last 19 April one of my familiar got approved such visa who applied 25 th January and also i got with two kids 13 April 2023 applied 30 Nov 2022. Don't worry as far best of my knowledge this type of visa don't refuse if all the dox provided.

I've applied for family reunification together with mine Single Permit on 12 April at VFS, Karachi, Pakistan and received email that files of my family sent to FPS for review and decision. Can anybody tell me when would I get any response from FPS and it's decision.
