Problems? or challenges in Quito

Dear Dave,

Consider it possible that Correos del Ecuador has received some of your mail and -- for reasons we Gringos do not understand -- is not delivering to your domicilio..

Go to the office nearest you and ask around?  Is the mail in the back?  Is it at the central office in town?  Was it returned to sender because nobody picked it up?  Is there a method to be notified when mail arrives?  Did the mail lack a postal code or proper addressing?

So we do not have a postcode as such, and the mail was not returned .......

As for the local office, we tried that as well and were simply told that "it was nothing to do with them"

Stalemate I fear!!

Other strategies....

1.  Go another day and ask a difference postal person.

2.  Arrange to speak to the jefe.

3.   Go to the main office in town and ask there.

There is a cheese shop here on Madrid street in La Floresta that has some selection.
