Hello everyone,

Which city or area do you live in in the USA, and how do you find the traffic?

How long does it take to commute to work or run errands?

Is there a rush hour in your city? What times of the day would you recommend people to avoid driving if they can?

Are there any ways to avoid spending too much time in traffic in the USA?

What is parking availability and cost like?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

It largely depends on what state and city you are referring to. I am in Cupertino (California) and traffic is ok. It takes 20min to travel 10 Miles in morning and evening, while it takes 12min at any other time.

But there are nearby cities that would take 1 hrs to travel 30miles during peak office hours(5-7pm) since the FreeWays(highways) are jam packed.

Public transport sucks in California and a bus would take 1-2hrs against a 10min car drive since there are no direct buses for most places.

Carpool is a good option, since you get to use dedicated Carpool(2 or more persons in a car is considered as pool) lanes while other single commuter would be stuck in traffic.

Hope that helps!

When in the US we are traveling in our motor home so traffic is not bad.  But parking can be a real pain
