Any inputs on Saudi visit visa about validity- is it counted from the date of issue or from the date of entry

I think it's start the day landed there
And if did not use for three months will expired even not visited
This what I think how is it works

It used to be from the date of entry. However, I am renewing my Saudi visa now and apparently (and maybe I was mistaken in the past) it is from the date of issue - that is what I was told yesterday by VFS Tahseel staff when they accepted my application (they don't accept unless visa has expired or only few days are left for expiry. Based on landing, I had 2 months left still).
