Hey iam 21yo female from Morocco engaged to an Australian man , we want to apply for a perspective marriage visa and we heard that it takes atleast 12 months to 18 months from a migration expert , but also other people that have done it says it only take 6 months , been wondering if the law changed about the processing times or what , please if anyone experienced this or have any idea about it pm me . Processing of prospective marriage visas can take anywhere between 9 and 12 months. It does happen that visas are processed quicker, like 6 months, but it is best to allow for a far longer waiting period. The actual processing times vary a lot and are dependent on many factors: work load, staffing levels, if quotas in a particular processing centre have been filled for the year and not least how well you application has been prepared and if all required evidence has been provided.
