Hi,
i am in muscat under visit visa and would like to travel to Dubai to meet a friend for a couple of days.
Could you tell me which visa I should apply for and what are the requirements for the same?

It depends. But since you are from India i would suggest you get the tourist visa for 30 days since you started you did like to visit for some days. They are no requirements as such but just securing the visa by applying through the embassy your self or going through the many tourism centers both locally at Muscat and online.
Getting a tourist visa wont be hard. Goodluck

No you do not..mostly what they check is the visa. If your visa is okay..you did be mostly fine.
