Property prices in Pakistan

Finding affordable housing in Pakistan is number one priority for newcomers. Tell us more about the estate market in your district/city/region.

What are the most desired places to live? What are the most affordable ones? What is the average cost of a rented flat? And what is the average sale price for an appartment or a house? Could you tell us more about local real estate policies/procedures? What about property tax or residency tax in Pakistan?

What about you? Where do you live now? Is it a place you would recommend?

Like most other countries in the world, Pakistan is currently going through a property and real estate boom. The prices are sky high and are going even higher. Prime locations in chief cities like Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad are being chased by property hunters and the prices are already touching millions of US dollars. A one kanal house in areas like Gulberg, Model Town, and Defense are being sold for $200,000, $300000 to $500000 for two kanals and so on and so forth. The prices have risen almost five times of what they were a couple of years back. People have stopped selling in this market and hence it has become a sellers market. The wait for further increase in the price is holding buyers at bay and sellers in the wait.


Prices in Pakistan are high in all upscale areas thoroughout Pakistan.

I know about a person personally selling his two plots in DHA3 Islamabad one Kanal around USD 125,000 and they have a house A single storey brickwork house with 8 bedrooms and 9 toilets (as per map) is available for sale in one of the most scenic and sought after areas in Rawalpindi Islamabad i. e. Garden City Zone 1. Under construction house is located in Street 9. The total area of land is 1471 square yard while the house will span over 10,300 square yards. That still leaves plenty of place for lawn. The side of the plot is open providing excellent views. The house piling work, foundation and ground floor brick work has been done. Price is USD 650,000.

The best thing about this house is that you can build further as per your design, owener started building it for himself with all the best map, foundation  etc now he is moving outside and wants to sell it urgently.

Am interested  in selling my two plots to expats if you can help would be a good business with you.

Two plots are in DHA 3 Islamabad one kanal all dues paid everything clear direct owner prices are 2.5 croros we prefer payments in dollars.

One house only ground floor built 1470 Square foot big lawn in Garden City Phase 7 prime location, price is 11 Crores.

Here in Lahore the property remain in high demand specially for the rental ones, but the problem is that the people there cannot handle the property as there is only one element along with the rent that needs to be paid by the person taking the place on rent is the tax annually which the owner should be paying but it is levied on the rental property that the tenant will pay. The owner should be responsible and they should pay by themselves.

Also it is good if one gets their property developed and them constructed as it is a being hazel that many people have to buy their own property and after that they have to customize it and then they feel better about it. Its good to get ones own property prepared from scratch and then you get to live in it and improve it as you prefer to.

Currently in Lahore the area of Johar town is preferred by locals and it is mostly on rental, Valencia is also a good place if one is in need of constructing their own property.
