Exiting / Entering Brazil without CIE/RNE

Hi there,

I am in Brazil on a Vitem I visa and am planning to take a 5 day trip to Chile next week for work. I arrived in Brazil almost 3 months ago but the Policia Federal has had a lot of problems with their appointment system and I cannot get an appointment to register to get my RNE/CIE. (I have been there 5 times, and they will not see me without an appointment - they have told me I need to get an appointment online- I have tried all hours of the day clicking over and over again to get an appointment). Does anyone know if I will be allowed to exit/ enter Brazil without this RNE? Will they make me a pay a fine?
