I am excited to be part of the community of bloggers and xpats.
I currently live in Kansas city Missouri and retired several years ago.  Most of my working life I owned various companies and the last 2 years before I retired I was a stock broker.
I have been thinking about moving to Equador for several years and I am in the process of selling things I will not need so I can move there permanently.
I am still trying to decide where to live . I first thought about somewhere on the beach but having lived in the Missouri humidity I think I have settled on either Cuenca or Loja.  I hope this forum will be of help in making the decision.

Welcome!  Hope to see your family on the streets of Cuenca when I arrive!

BTW, is Cuenca also spelled Quenca?  Or, is that another place?

I hope to have an old bike at some point.

Thanks for the post.  Hope to see you and your family as well in Cuenca.
I am just learning Spanish so do not know if there is 2 spellings. I have been spelling Equador and I see also Ecuador. Noone has corrected me so guess it is ok.

Just FYI, the only correct spellings are Ecuador and Cuenca.  People are just being polite.

Thanks for the correction.
