Am planning to move my 87 yr old mother and I to Mexico and am looking for info about in home care for her. Any ideas? And idea how much it would cost me for a live in who would need to bath her and "clean her"?

The price will depend in what kind of care your mother need and also where you are moving. The following prices were from Mexico City in 2007-2009 in a middle-class area.

For example a residence specialized in people with Alzheimer costs at least 1,000 dlls/month + the medicine and diapers aprox $80 dlls more.

In almost all the residences for older people which are not specialized the person who enter, in this case your mother, has to sign that She is there voluntary, I think that way they has no responsibility if she ran away, but I'm not sure.

Also you can hire a Nurse, there are a lot of companies that offer this service. Long time ago I needed this service and it cost me 90 dlls per day. I guess It'll cost a little bit more now..
