My husband and I are recently retired, want to move to Asia. My husband likes to be near the water so we decide Phu Quoc Island would be a good choice. Any advice or recommendation would be greatly aprreciated since we've been to HCM city but never to Phu Quoc, probably plan a visit soon. Thank you very much

Phu Quoc Island is a good choice. However, you can go to Mui Ne beach, a nice beach as well. From HCM City to Phu Quoc, you can take flight, about 1 hour and to Mui Ne, it takes ~ 4 hours by bus.
