Hi, I am moving to Oman with my family in July. Can anyone advise on the best mobile voice and data services provider in terms of quality and value. Are there any good packages that could be recommended. I have got a SIM from Friendi Mobile and current plan is to stick to them and get an extra card for my wife.

Hi maef57,

Omantel and Nawras are the bigger fish in this small pond. Compared to the MVNOs like frendi and renna mobile (they are good no doubt), the former would give you better facilities - more outlets, better reach, perhaps better service, et al. Mobile tariffs are regulated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority, so there wouldn't be much variations there. Do a comparative research with their websites and you will get a better idea.
