Does anyone know where a good place to start looking for work is? I know its hard times here but its worth a go

This is likely to be hard at the moment.
The political problems, along with likely problems with the EU won't help.
Perhaps you can give more details as to the sort of work you're looking for, and where in the country you're willing to look.
You never know your luck - there might very well be a forum member looking for someone with your skills.
Also - try an ad in the jobs section of the forum. You'll find that on the green band at the top of the page.
