Honorable Bhavna mam,

Thank you for giving me suggestions and thank you for giving your time for reply. Mam, I want to know which is very helpful in Greece for foreign citizen specially who are from asian countries. Student Visa or Work Visa? Which visa is mostly helpful? Because I'm applying so many companies but I just get the same replies that I'm not short listed. So can you please give me the suggestions from your point of view that can I move through student Visa if I can't manage job offer or work permit who are offering sponsorship. I'm asking this because I'm eagerly waiting to move to Greece with a valid visa as soon as possible. But for work permit or work visa, I'm finding it so hard. So can you please give me any suggestions for that?

You need to get a visa prior to moving there.

To get a work visa, you need to find an employer/contract first. You can not just apply for a work permit without a work contract to show...

Now as for student visa, it depends on you ! If you want to study there !A student visa is in priority for educational purposes. Find out more about Studying in Greece.

Thanks a lot for your kind response. Can you also share me method for applying the work permit and also list of units or companies who can easylity issue contract or work permit.

In the past I have spent some time in Greece as crew of a passenger ship M/v Aegean Dolphin Shiping Hellas. During this job  I found Greek peaple very nice. That was best time of y life thats why I wish my son should study or work in Greece

Hello, if you are not from the EU, getting a job and a work permit will be tough as companies will hire European citizens first.

To get a work permit, you need to prove that you have a job contract.

I think your best option would be to get a seafarer job or work on a cruise ship as you already did and visit Greece while you are there.

@saifulislam91333Join...sign up,join...Linkedin Greece,you may see something there,you join to be a member,it has job and training opportunities I believe,you could try the petrol refinery or Motor Oil company,both are just outside west of Athens,they employ many people also the ship yard which builds,repairs and refits large ships ferries etc,,,
