Hi everyone!

Im Mechanical Design engineer with 7 years of experience. Right now Im working in Sweden & I have got job offer from German Employer.
They offered me 60K (brutto) - after tax I get in hand around  2674,0 which is less salary than what I get in Sweden. I want to negotiate this salary.

-    Could you please let me know what the average/ maximum salary for 7 yrs experienced mechanical Engineer in Stuttgart/ Ulm area?
-    Hows cost of living there?
-    Any websites where i can compare the salary?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Since salary is a very confidential matter in Germany, there are almost no survey reports or comparison sites available. But 60k sounds about right for what you mention (of course without knowing the hundred details that do have an influence). You cannot expect to earn the same here as in Sweden!

Hi pshantp7,

As beppi said, salary here is something quite confidential, they don't even say anything in job offers.
Maybe this helps:
