I'm an American who just moved to Dar Es Salaam with my husband ( whom is Tanzanian) looking for a friend (preferably female) to maybe show me the basics and just hang out.

I'm not really what you are looking for. I am in my third week in
Dar, and will leave in two weeks. However I will be back regularly, and I too am interested in a friend to hang with during the day. Keep it in mind for the near future if you don't get a better response. And Karibu, Suzanne
