Entering KSA with a laptop, is it an issue?

Post new topic

Emvel

Recently bought a new laptop to take with me when I start work in Jubail, will I encounter any problems getting it into Kingdom. I'm aware of the laws around nudity/pornography and know my laptop to be clean. I have some mp3's, couple of TV series etc but no films with nudity on.  What can I expect?

Thanks

I've been in/out a dozen or more times and nobody looked twice. I wouldn't worry about it.

And welcome to the Kingdom :)

Thanks Alliecat, that's what I was hoping to hear.

Also, I've had a removals firm round to give me a quote for moving some belongings for me and my family. It states in their literature that no stuffed animals or depictions of humans or animals, I'm guessing that doesn't include my 7 year old daughters Teddies and dolls and no games that depict gambling, would that include board games like monopoly?

thanks for you're help

This has been discussed before but I forget the outcome lol since it didn't apply to me.

I suggest you make a new thread titled something like,

Moving to KSA: Stuffed Animals, Toys, Games Allowed??

The people who know about this will see the new clear topic and reply.

Good luck :)

Emvel I replied, but under Children look for threads started by me (mainly in Jeddah). As I was seriously stressed last spring when trying to decide what to bring of my kids. I only left items that absolutely could not be replaced in storage & the rest came with us.
