If you're still in Ceará, you should look around for a reliable realtor. Generally most of them will manage rentals, recieve rent payments, etc., for an administration fee. That said, you may have to pay extra if you want them to look after things like repairs, painting, etc.

Also I don't know if you have a Brazilian bank account or not. If you only have your Canadian account receiving payments from the realtor could be a headache because of Central Bank regulations regarding transfer of funds to foreigners or foreign banks. The whole issue of banking is a nightmare here in Brazil.
