Hi,

For the ones living in Fortaleza, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Fortaleza, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Fortaleza?

Thank you in advance for participating ;)

Hi there!
I think the first thing on the minds of visitors would be the beach,so the beach towns up and down the coast from Fortaleza would b e a perfect place to start.
My own recommendations would be Canoa Quebrada, Morro Brtanco and Lagoainha.
Then there is Guaramiranga, which is about 80 KM from the city and up about 1000M.
There are two famous festivals held here each year...a world famous jazz festival and a wine festival, both at the same time...February.
In the city, there are various museums including the Yipioca Museum.  This is the company that produces cashaca.
There is also the tourist beaches of Praia do Futuro, Prainha and Beach Park, the largest water park in South America.
