Looking for a professional position in Quito

My wife and I are moving to Quito, Ecuador, within an month or two. My wife will be teaching at a local university in Cumbaya; however, I still trying to find employment in English at least for the first year. My Spanish is conversational, but not professional. I have a master's degree in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California and I have been in academic counseling for 12 years. I would prefer not to teach English; however, I am open. Would anyone living in Quito know of any opportunities?

You may want to try University of San Francisco (is that where your wife will be teaching?) They teach many classes in English- so Public Diplomacy could be an option there. I had a friend do a Fulbright there and he taught computer science in English.
