There used to be a pet shop by the entrance of Regata. check it out.

That pet shop near Regatta is closed from what I see (or not see).

You can try the pet shops in Souk Rasheed near Martyrs (Gren) Square. They sell a variety of cats/dogs/birds etc in the few shops there.

Yes Siddiqui, that market is called "souk Alhout" fish market.

Ive been to that Soul alhout, poor animals.

Why do you think that animals are poor?!

They're stuffed into small cages where they sit in excrement for days/weeks/months(?) until someone buys them or they die I guess.

Hate to think what happened to the ones that were there during the war.

It really is a depressing place. And it smells bad too.

....even i could not see any dogs and cats  arround , ( i didnt realize it before u ask ) ...
