1. I would like to know in detail about the various tax saving schemes available for an expat in kenya i.e. is there any clause wherein investments in any kind is considered for exemption for calculating net tax liability.
2. What are the job prospects for a spouse of an expat in kenya? is it easily available or is there any regulatory concerns?

Babu, I've been browsing through the KRA website (http://www.kra.go.ke/) and didn't find any significant exemption you could avail. There is a reference for insurance premiums and you could look into that in detail.
I reckon the expat spouse will need a work permit to be in paid employment. Perhaps someone could corroborate this.
