Buying property in Egypt

Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Egypt?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Egypt?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

its impossible to happen  you can just rent you can only buy in very complicated limited cases

if you want to know it i will ask my professor about this cases but i studied that its very complicated to do that

Ofcourse the foreigner can buy property in Egypt, it was prohibited until the 70's or something but now its ok, briefly... there is some conditions that you will pass through them but the most important is that can't buy properties near to the borders and if inside the country not more than 4000 meters square and to be for residential purpose only if its an existing building ..

its better to specify the property first to be categorized ..

Ministry of Justice (the real estate and Documentation) reported for the foreign ownership of real estate Arab Republic of Egypt following
First:
For real estate and land space has allowed the second article of the law 230 of 1996 non-Egyptians to own as follows:

Second:

For desert lands have Article 12 of Law 143 of 1941 concerning the desert land as amended by law 55 for the year 1988, it does not benefit from the acquisition in accordance with this law, only the Egyptians ... etc..

You can buy property in Egypt, there is a few restrictions on buying and selling so you have to be careful, but i know a few English people who have bought property here.
